Are you a Philly commuter looking for a fun, affordable happy hour? Ten7 is the perfect spot for you! Located right next to the North Wales train station, this brewery is in a convenient location and offers a large variety of beers, ciders, and canned cocktails.
Each time you go to Ten7, there is a new food truck to try. During our visit, the food truck was called the Lunchbox Philly. Most of the food options were either hot dishes or had spicy elements. The open layout of Ten7 made things pretty warm inside so the food was a little hard to enjoy without overheating.
I am not the biggest fan of beer. The drinks I tried were both ciders. One was called Cherry Pie Cider which was a little sweet and very sour. I think it is refreshing and light, a good option for a warm day! The second cider was just a traditional cider with apple. It reminded me of an
Angry Orchard. It was not as sour as the Cherry Pie cider, but definitely sweeter.
It may be a little too sweet for my taste. A friend of mine tried the Exploratory
Philly Sour Beer which is an in-house sour beer. He really enjoyed it! I tried
it as well and I actually liked it, which is not common for me!
Pros:
- Fun, open atmosphere, great to visit with a group of friends
- A variety of food options each visit
- Lots of seating available inside and outside
- Convenient location next to North Wales train station
Cons:
- Lack of AC due to open layout
- Parking situation is a bit odd, have to park across thestreet or in the train station lot
- Only two bathrooms available for men and women, almost alwaysa wait for the restroom
Conclusion:
This brewery is a great spot for an after work drink on your commute home or for a happy hour with co-workers. The fun food truck options give something new to try each time you are there. I will definitely be visiting again!
